He sent in Neil's registration form and money for Tee-ball but got a phone call from the city informing him that Neil is not 5 yet and cannot play Tee-ball this year. Well, this did not deter Rick for long. He found out that the YMCA has a "Wee-ball" league for 3 and 4 year Lorihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16611193905476205842noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9033863754116982902.post-26402729502173320642010-04-18T13:17:00.004-04:002010-04-18T13:35:49.330-04:00Savannah's 1 year picturesWell, it's really her 15 month old pictures since I procrastinated doing her 1 year pictures for 3 months. Anyway, they are done and I think I got some really cute ones. I took them out at my in-laws house, they have 4 beautiful acres and the weather was great that day.
Savannah is so much fun. We went to Jacksonville in March to visit...mainly because my sister Mary was there visiting. She now lives in Louisianna so we don't get to see her very much. So, all the sisters came in town so we could spend some time together. We went to a Park in Riverside which was so beautiful and the weather was perfect.
We all tried to limit the number of kids we brought, so it Lorihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16611193905476205842noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9033863754116982902.post-40973070110628977052010-03-18T15:24:00.000-04:002010-03-18T15:24:19.995-04:00Melina's Gymnastics Winter Wiggle
Melina begged and begged to take gymnastics and we finally caved. She has been taking for almost a year now and she LOVES it. We are really glad she begged us into it because she is so good and she works really hard and loves it so much. We found a great cabin in Franklin, NC and booked the week of Christmas. We were so excited as were the kids...they quickly agreed to less presents in exchange for a place in the mountains for a week.
Here is the cabin we found.&Lorihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16611193905476205842noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9033863754116982902.post-73080228760524691052010-03-09T10:20:00.001-05:002010-03-09T10:21:41.366-05:00Savannah's First Birthday!
Here is the birthday girl...loving the cake for sure! Her birthday was actually December 17th...that shows you how far behind I am on my blogging!
Savannah shares a birthday with my Mom, so I made two cakes...one for each birthday girl. Mom got Savannah this puppy which I think she may be scared of.
Sisters and cousin...always willing to help finish off the cake.

We spent Thanksgiving at Annette's house in Georgia. She has a big place and is able to fit everyone...which is always the problem when we all get together.

She has 2 girls the same ages as 2 of my girls...so I just took those 2. My other 2 kids thought that was mean of me, but too bad. I loved just having 2 kids to worry about...it was like a vacation for me.

I started noticing that Neil was talking an awful lot about a little girl in his preschool class named Evee (they are all 4-5 years old). The new thing on the playground is for the boys to chase the girls...and Neil is fascinated with this girl that runs so fast he can't catch her. He's told me at least 5 times how, "Evee is soooo fast!...I can't even catch her!". Apparently this is impressiveLorihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16611193905476205842noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9033863754116982902.post-13116541317616001002009-10-07T22:44:00.000-04:002009-10-07T22:44:54.660-04:00Neil's sports debut...If you know my husband you know that he is a huge sports fan. I guess I can't keep telling myself I'm in my early thirties, although my Mom informed me that 33 was mid-thirties I was content to think that you weren't mid-thirties until 35. Whatever. So, he found a 5K here in town on Labor Day morning that we decided to run together. I had already run 3 miles a couple of times so I knew that I could at least make it through without dying. I was going to shoot for a 9 minute/mile pace...that didn't happen, but I was close. She says it all the time now and it is, of course, so cute. She is also starting to scoot across the floor. Gone are the easy days of sitting her in the middle of the living room floor with a few toys and going about my business. Now I have to actually watch her all the time.Lorihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16611193905476205842noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9033863754116982902.post-13966407067296044612009-08-13T13:41:00.003-04:002009-08-13T22:23:54.166-04:00Skating RinkYesterday my sister Adrienne and I took my kids to the skating rink. Neil is getting better...he actually rolls some now instead of just taking baby steps. Check out the carpet at the skating rink...I believe it glows in the dark...oh, the memories of going to the skating rink in middle school. My girls are pretty good at it. I manage to get around the rink without looking too clumsy. He asked so sweetly I couldn't resist. So, he pulled a chair up and began dumping things into the pot and stirring it around for me. I thought he would last about 5 minutes and then get bored and run off and play...not so. He stuck it out till the bitter end. I naively thought I could get away with an easy party with a few of Neil's little friends. He wanted to have it at his grandparents house and for that I was grateful. They have much more room and they have a pool for the kids to swim in...so I wouldn't have to come up with any games either, nice.
